In the heart of Beirut's Saifi district, KAM Architects reimagines an existing residence as Reset Haus, a contemporary wellness destination conceived around an idea of retreat within the city.

Rather than erasing the domestic identity of the building, KAM takes it as the project's starting point. The architecture retains the intimacy and proportions of a home while introducing a new material and spatial vocabulary designed around movement, pause and restoration.

The result is what the studio describes as a “modern nest”: a place that feels protected from the pace of the city without becoming entirely disconnected from it.

For KAM Architects, whose work has largely developed through residential projects, Reset Haus marks the studio's first commercial project. Yet the transition is deliberately subtle. Instead of adopting the conventional codes of a wellness centre, the studio approached the project with the same attention to intimacy, tactility and human scale that defines a home.

“We didn't want to design a space that simply looked like wellness. We were interested in how architecture itself could change your pace — how material, light, proportion and movement through a space could create a sense of retreat,” says Karim Abou Mrad, founder of KAM Architects.
